মোহনবাগান সমর্থক অভীক দত্ত'র নিরন্তর গবেষনার আরও একটি সুফল পেল মোহন জনতা।আরও ছয়টি কলকাতা ডার্বির তথ্য সামনে আনলেন অভীক।
সেই অভীক,যার সৌজন্যে আরও নটি কলকাতা ডার্বির সন্ধান পেয়েছিল মোহন জনতা।

আমরা এতদিন জেনে আসছি প্রথম কলকাতা ডার্বি খেলা হয় 1925 সালে।কিন্তু আরও পুরোনো কিছু পারিপার্শ্বিক তথ্যপ্রমান ঘেঁটে জানা গেছে,প্রথম কলকাতা ডার্বি খেলা হয় 1921 সালে,কুচবিহার কাপ ফাইনালে।
সেই ম্যাচটি শেষ হয় 0-0 তে।প্রথম কলকাতা ডার্বি'ও ড্র হয়।

এই ম্যাচটিরই ফিরতি লেগে মোহনবাগান 3-0 ব্যবধানে জয় পায়।

অর্থাৎ কলকাতা ডার্বিতে প্রথম জয় পাওয়া দল মোহবাগান এসি।

এই সময়ে (1921-1925) মোট ছয়টি ডার্বি খেলা হয়,যার চারটি জেতে মোহনবাগান।ইস্টবেঙ্গল জেতে একটি।একটি ম্যাচ ড্র হয়।

কলকাতা:আই লিগের শেষ ম্যাচেই গোয়ার এক ক্লাব সালগাওকর কে হারিয়েছে মোহনবাগান।আগামী ম্যাচে বাগানের বিপক্ষ স্পোর্টিং ক্লুব ডে গোয়া।

ম্যাচটির প্রাক্কালে সঞ্জয় সেন কে জানতে চাওয়া হয় "পরবর্তী ম্যাচে স্পোর্টিং এর বিপক্ষে আপনার স্ট্র্যাটেজি কী?ওডাফাকে নিয়েই বা কী ভাবছেন?"
জবাবে সঞ্জয় জানান "মোহনবাগান টিম গেমে বিশ্বাসী।কোনও একজন প্লেয়ারকে মোহনবাগান আলাদা গুরুত্ব দেয় না।আমরা স্পোর্টিং এর 11 জনের বিপক্ষেই খেলব।একা ওডাফা'র বিরুদ্ধে নয়।"
"আমার টিমেও আগের দিন লুসিয়ানো,প্রনয় ছিল না,কিন্তু লেনি,বালমুচু তা বুঝতে দেয় নি।আমার ছেলেরা আই লিগ জেতার জন্য লড়ছে।ওডাফাও মানুষ,সুপারম্যান নয়।ওকে ভয় পাবার চেয়ে মরে যাওয়াই ভালো।"
আগের দিন সালগাওকর কে চূর্ণ করে ফুটছে মোহনবাগান।সঞ্জয় বলেন "আমরা পরের ম্যাচটাও জিততে চাই,সব ম্যাচ থেকেই 3 পয়েন্ট আমাদের লক্ষ।"
গ্লেনের ফর্মে ফেরা নিয়ে তিনি বলেন "ও বিশ্বমানের স্ট্রাইকার।খারাপ সময় সবার যায়,ওরও গেছে।কিন্তু সেসময় ড্রেসিংরুম ওর ওপর থেকে আস্থা হারায় নি,গ্লেনও তার মর্যাদা রেখেছে।"

গোয়ার মাটিতেই গোয়ান জায়েন্টদের উড়িয়ে দিল মোহনবাগান।গ্লেনের জোড়া গোলে ভর করে সালগাওকর তাঁবুতে অন্ধকার নামিয়ে আনল সঞ্জয় সেন ব্রিগেড।
এদিন মাঠে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ইস্টবেঙ্গল কোচ বিশ্বজিত ও তার ডেপুটি স্যামি ওমেলো।
বাগানের খেলা দেখে তাদের যে ফাটলো তা আর বলার অপেক্ষা রাখে না।গতকাল বাগান কোচ দলে পাননি তার ডিফেন্সের স্তম্ভ লুসিয়ানো এবং মিডফিল্ড জেনারেল প্রণয় কে।কিন্তু তাদের অনুপস্থিতিতে লেনি,বালমুচুর খেলা বাগান রিজার্ভ বেঞ্চের শক্তিরই প্রমান দেয়।
গতকাল 13' এ গোল করে মোহনবাগানকে লিড এনে দেন জেজে।এরপর 2টি অনবদ্য গোল করে প্রথমার্ধেই বাগানকে ম্যাচ প্রায় জিতিয়েই দেন কর্নেল।
দ্বিতিয়ার্ধে তাই ডাফি গোল পেলেও সালগাওকর ম্যাচে ফিরে আসতে পারেনি।

মোহনবাগানের পরবর্তী ম্যাচ আগামী মঙ্গলবার স্পোর্টিং ক্লুব ডে গোয়া'র বিপক্ষে।

বাগান ঝড়ে বেসামাল বিদেশিরা

মোহনবাগান-৫ (সনি, জেজে-২, গ্লেন-২) মাজিয়া-২ (ইমাজ, রাজু-আত্মঘাতী) দেশে তো বটেই, বহু দিন পর আন্তর্জাতিক ম্যাচেও পালতোলা নৌকা দৌড়চ্ছে! বিদেশি দলকে শেষ কবে মোহনবাগান এ ভাবে বিপর্যস্ত করেছে মনে করতে পারছেন না অনেকে। গুয়াহাটিতে বুধবার সঞ্জয় সেনের দল এএফসি কাপের ম্যাচে উড়িয়েই দিল মলদ্বীপের মাজিয়াকে। প্রথমার্ধেই ত্রিশ গজ দূর থেকে সনি নর্ডির দুর্দান্ত বাঁকানো শটে গোলের শুরু। তার পর শুধুই সবুজ-মেরুন ঝড়। অনায়াসে জোড়া গোল করলেন জেজে। গত পাঁচ ম্যাচে গোল নেই যাঁর, সেই কর্নেল গ্লেনও জোড়া গোলের মালিক এ দিন। কিন্তু এই চমকপ্রদ আন্তর্জাতিক ম্যাচ জয়ের মধ্যেও কাঁটা হয়ে থেকে গেল বাগান রক্ষণ। ৩-০ এগিয়ে যাওয়া সত্ত্বেও দু’গোল হজম করে। তার মধ্যে আবার একটা গোল ডিফেন্ডার রাজু গায়কোয়াড়ের আত্মঘাতী। দলের এই দুর্ধর্ষ পারফরম্যান্সের পর বাগান কোচ সঞ্জয় অবশ্য অন্য কারণে অভিমানী। ম্যাচের পর গুয়াহাটি থেকে ফোনে বললেন, ‘‘হয়তো আমাদের সমালোচকরা বলবেন, মাজিয়া টিমটা দুর্বল। কিন্তু চিনের শেনডং টিমের চেয়েও আমরা কিন্তু অনেক দুর্বল ছিলাম। সেখানে ছয় গোলে হারায় অনেকেই অনেক কথা বলেছিলেন। আজ তাঁরা কী বলবেন?’’ সঙ্গে যোগ করলেন, ‘‘ড্রেসিংরুমে আজ সবাইকে বলেছিলাম শেষ বিদেশি ক্লাবের বিরুদ্ধে ছয় গোল খেয়েছিলে, এ বার সেটার জবাব দাও। তা সত্ত্বেও বাড়তি আত্মবিশ্বাসের জন্য ছেলেরা দু’গোল খেয়ে গেল। এটা আমাদের ফিরতি অ্যাওয়ে ম্যাচে সমস্যায় ফেলবে। মাজিয়া টিমটা যথেষ্ট ভাল। আমরা শুরুতেই তিন গোল চাপিয়ে দিয়েছিলাম বলে ওরা আর উঠে দাঁড়াতে পারেনি।’’ খেলার শেষে সতীর্থের আলিঙ্গন। তিন দিন বাদেই আবার ফিরতে হবে আই লিগে। শনিবারই গোয়ায় ম্যাচ। টিম যাতে ক্লান্ত না হয়ে পড়ে সে জন্য এ দিনের ম্যাচে কিছু পরিবর্তনের ইঙ্গিত দিয়েছিলেন বাগান কোচ। তবে প্রথম দলে রেখেছিলেন চার বিদেশিই। যদিও হাফটাইমের কিছু পরেই সনিকে তুলে নেন। সবুজ-মেরুনের বেঞ্চও যে শক্তিশালী সেটা কিন্তু এ দিন প্রমাণিত। মলদ্বীপের টিমে জাতীয় দলের বেশ কিছু ফুটবলার ছিলেন। বাগান সে সব তোয়াক্কা না করে সনির নেতৃত্বে শুরু থেকেই ঝড় তোলে। সঞ্জয়ের আক্রমণ ভাগকে দেশের সেরা বলছেন অনেক কোচই। কিন্তু তাতে সামান্য মরচে পড়েছিল গ্লেন অফ ফর্মে থাকায়। টাম্পাইন্স রোভার্স ম্যাচের পর এই প্রথম আবার স্বমহিমায় প্রাক্তন ত্রিনিদাদ ও টোবাগো বিশ্বকাপার। আই লিগে সালগাওকর ম্যাচের আগে এই বড় জয় দলে আত্মবিশ্বাস ফেরাবে মানছেন বাগান কোচ। ‘‘যারাই আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে নামবে, ভাববে এরা একটি বিদেশি টিমকে পাঁচ গোল দিয়ে এসেছে।’’ এ দিন এএফসি কাপের অন্য ম্যাচে লাও টয়োটা এফসির কাছে ১-২ হারল বেঙ্গালুরু এফসি। মোহনবাগান: শিল্টন, প্রবীর, লুসিয়ানো, রাজু (সঞ্জয়), ধনচন্দ্র, কাতসুমি, প্রণয়, লেনি (বলবন্ত), সনি (কেন লুইস), জেজে, গ্লেন। সৌজন্যে: আনন্দবাজার পত্রিকা

Mohun Bagan put in a fantastic display at the Salt Lake Stadium as they registered a 3-1 victory over Singapore's Tampines Rovers with goals from Jeje Lalpekhlua (5'), Cornell Glen (41') and Katusmi Yusa (83') while Hanapi pulled one back for the visitors (43').
Sanjoy Sen made just one change to the side which drew 1-1 against East Bengal last weekend with Jeje Lalpekhlua being roped in to replace Azaharuddin Mullick.

I-League:The 338th Kolkata derby came to an end with both sides sharing a point in the encounter. Mohun Bagan held East Bengal to a 1-1 draw in a round three I-League clash played at the Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata, on Saturday.
Ranti Martins found the breakthrough to give the Red and Golds the lead in the 63rd minute but only for Cornell Glen to score the equaliser in the 77th minute. Sanjoy Sen,the coach of the defending champions Mohun Bagan made just one change from their 4-2 victory over Salgaocar as Haitian sensation Sony Norde arrived to replace Balwant Singh out wide.

Kolkata: The defending I League champions perhaps got it’s biggest boost yesterday,with the arrival of Haitian International Sony Norde.
Norde,who arrived in the city late last night was at the Bagan practice today.He was seen training under physical trainer Garcia along with team mate Subhash Singh.Sheer prescence of Norde lifted the moral of his teammates as they welcomed the Haiti international at the practice session.Norde was seen having a long discussion with Brazilian Luciano.The Bagan supporters came in numbers to cheer Norde today.Loud shout of “Norde – Norde” filled the air wishing him to win the derby on Saturday.

Sony Norde Joins Bagan

Calcutta:Mohun Bagan received a boost ahead of Saturday's Derby against East Bengal when Sony Norde arrived in the city in the wee hours of Monday.
The Haitian star had played a key role in Mohun Bagan winning the I-League last season and the defending champions are banking on him this time too.
Mohun Bagan have made a strong beginning to their title defence, convincingly winning both their matches against debutants Aizawl FC and Salgaocar FC.
East Bengal are also trying their best to get Bernard Mendy on board before the Derby.
The Chennaiyin FC defender,who's also a former France international, applied for visa on Monday and is expected to be in the city on Thursday.
East Bengal will have to register Mendy before 4.30 pm on Thursday to avail his services in the Derby.
East Bengal's agreement with Mendy lasts till the end of the I-League and are hoping it will work wonders for the side.

Malcolm Thomson saw his side suffer their second consecutive defeat in his first I-League stint with Salgaocar FC... Mohun Bagan defeated Salgaocar FC 4-2 in a round two clash at the Barasat stadium in Kolkata to climb on top of the I-League standings on Saturday evening.
Katsumi Yusa (9'), Cornell Glen (28'), Luciano Sobrosa (33') and Balwant Singh (48') gave the home side a four-goal cushion before the visitors rallied back with two goals scored by Darryl Duffy (69') and Gurjinder Kumar (86').

মোহনবাগানে যোগ দিলেন অভিষেক দাস

ইস্টবেঙ্গল থেকে চিরপ্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী মোহনবাগানে যোগ দিলেন ভারতের অনুর্দ্ধ-২৩ জাতীয় দলের তরুণ বাঙালী ডিফেন্ডার অভিষেক দাস।
২২ বছর বয়সী এই প্রতিভাবান বঙ্গসন্তান ২০১০ থেকে ইস্টবেঙ্গলে থাকলেও সেখান থেকে বেশীরভাগ সময়ই লোনে অন্য ক্লাবে খেলেছেন। ইস্টবেঙ্গল থেকে পৈলান অ্যারোজ, ইউনাইটেড সিকিম ও চেন্নাইয়িন এফসি-র হয়ে খেলেছেন তিনি। এবারের আইএসএলেও তিনি চেন্নাইয়িন এফসি-র হয়ে খেলেছেন, তবে প্রথমদিকে নিয়মিত খেললেও পরে তেমন সুযোগ পাননি। এবার কিছুটা আকস্মিকভাবেই মোহন বাগানে এলেন তিনি। অবশ্য তাঁর আগমনে বাগান রক্ষণ কিছুটা শক্তিশালীই হল।

ষাটের দশকে মোহনবাগান ছিল অপ্রতিরোধ্য । অনেকে এই সময় কে মোহনবাগান এর 'স্বর্নযুগ' বলে অভিহিত করে । এই সময়কালে মোহনবাগান ছ-বার কলকাতা লিগ জেতে যেখানে চিরপ্রতিদ্বন্ধী ইস্টবেঙ্গল জয়লাভ করে মাত্র দুবার । একবার জেতে মহামেডান ও একবার পরিত্যক্ত হয় লিগ ।

Glen's Brace led Mariners to a win

MOHUN BAGAN 3-1 AIZAWL FC
Barasat: Mohun Bagan registered a comfortable 3-1 win over newly promoted Aizawl FC in their first game of the new I-League season.
Cornell Glen scored twice in the first half and Balwant Singh added the third after Pritam Kotal's own goal had put the away side on level terms.
Sanjoy Sen went in with his formidable 4-2-3-1 in quest of defending the coveted I-League title with Glen featuring upfront for the very first time and Japanese sensation Katsumi Yusa deployed in the wings in place of the absent Sony Norde.
Manuel Retamero and his team made their I-League debut with a full strength squad hoping to surprise the Green and Maroon brigade.
The game was off to a flier with the opening goal being scored inside six minutes by Bagan debutant Glen. The former Lajong forward received the ball on the left and calmly slotted it past the Aizawl custodian to score his first for the I-League champions.
Ten minutes later Aizawl managed to restore parity via a Kotal own goal. The FC Pune City full back pushed the ball into his own net in an attempt to clear the ball from a Alfred Jayran shot. The scoreline was level inside 16 minutes. In the 22nd minute, Glenn restored the lead for the Kolkata side. Balwant grabbed the chance on the counter after a corner. The forward made a run from the left to find Glen outside the box. The Trinidadian received the ball to swivel 180 degrees to shoot past a hapless Poirei Soram.
The third goal for the Mariners came 15 minutes before half time. Balwant blazed past the Aizawl defenders with his pace and his right footer found the bottom left corner, beating the ex-Bengaluru FC custodian.
The second half turned into a drab encounter with nothing much resulting from the few attacks from either side. Kinshuk Debnath almost managed to scare the Mariners in the 51st minute which could have been the second own goal of the game. The youngster tried to clear the ball but his horrific effort went just wide of the net. On the stroke of the hour, Balwant tried to take a shot but did not make Poirei Soram sweat much in front of the net. In the 67th minute Glen had a chance to score his hat-trick but a bad decision to only head the ball costed him as the keeper kicked the ball clear.
Aizawl were on the attack a minute later, Biakthanga’s cross from the right found Jayran. The Liberian took a shot only for Kinshuk to clear it away.
With 20 minutes left to go on the clock, the away side had a chance on the edge of the box. Skipper Mstluanga’s freekick could not go past the wall. The rebound was then shot off into the stands.
Albert latched onto an opportunity in the 79th minute as his shot grazed past the outside of the net. Aizawl missed a real chance in this effort. Mohun Bagan were second best on the pitch towards the end. The second division champions though. failed to capitalize on the chances created as they lacked the finishing touch and did not pose much of a threat in the final third.
The title-holders held onto grab all three points and march onto their quest of retaining the I-League trophy. It was a good outing for the debutants Aizawl but their inexperience was pretty much evident.

Pronay joins Bagan in Rs 1.15 cr deal

Jan 8, 2016, 12.28 AM IST Panaji: Pronay Halder has turned his back on Bengaluru FC and instead prefered to join Mohun Bagan in a two-year deal worth Rs 1.15 crore.
The defensive midfielder played for FC Goa in the Indian Super League (ISL) and then returned to Dempo Sports Club, his parent club. But with Dempo now only playing in the second division I-League, Pronay was given the freedom to leave if the club could part with a transfer fee.
Bengaluru FC had kept watch on the player for a long time and even agreed on paying a transfer fee of Rs 15 lakh to Dempo. But over the last couple of months, the Federation Cup champions cooled their interest in the player -- possibly due to injury concerns - and, instead, Mohun Bagan swooped to conquer.
According to sources, Pronay completed the transfer formalities by signing the two-year contract in Goa on Thursday.
Pronay will pocket Rs 35 lakh till May this season and receive Rs 80 lakh for the second year.
Of course, Mohun Bagan, defending champions in the I-League, will recover at least 50 per cent of the Rs 80 lakh they are paying him for the second year from any franchise who will bid for his services for the next edition of ISL.
Pronay, a technically sound defensive midfielder, has been hampered by injuries since the Asian Games in 2014 and was handed his India debut by Stephen Constantine last year.

আমরা মোহনবাগানী।মোহনবাগানের ১২৬ বছরের ঐতিহ্য আমাদের কাছে গর্বের,আনন্দের।সেই সব পুরানো দিনের অজানা গল্পকেই আপনাদের কাছে তুলে ধরছে মোহন বাগান ফোরাম-বর্ণ টু রুল।
সৌজন্যে ফোরামের দুই প্রতিষ্ঠাতা সদস্য সুব্রত দা(মাস্টারদা নামে পরিচিত)এবং অমিত দা(সবাই চেনে King Mariner Uncrowned নামে)।

ঐতিহাসিক শিল্ড জিততে কম বাধা টপকাতে হয়নি মোহনবাগান কে। মোহনবাগান দল তখন খালি পায়ে খেলতো ,ব্যতিক্রম ছিলেন একমাত্র সুধীর চ্যাটার্জি। প্রথম রাউন্ডে গোরাদের টিম সেন্ট জেভিয়ার্স কে ৩ গোলে হারাল মোহনবাগান । ম্যাচটিতে মোহনবাগান এর প্রাধান্য দেখে চিন্তিত গোরারা মোহনবাগান কে রোখার জন্য অসৎ পথ অবলম্বন করে।

পরের ম্যাচ, প্রতিপক্ষ রেঞ্জার্স। প্রথমার্ধেই ২ গোলে এগিয়ে যায় মোহনবাগান। দ্বিতীয়ার্ধে তুমুল বৃষ্টি শুরু হয়, জলকাদার মাঠে মোহনবাগান কিছুটা রক্ষনশীল হয়ে পড়ে। রেফারীর বদ্যানতায় একটি গোল ও শোধ করে রেঞ্জার্স।এরপর অবৈধভাবে একের পর এক তিনটি পেনাল্টি রেঞ্জার্স কে উপহার দিলেন রেফারি। ধরেই নেওয়া হয়েছিল মোহনবাগান হেরে যাবে। কিন্তু অসম্ভবকে সম্ভব করার সাহস যাদের মনে থাকে ভগবান ও যে তাদেরই সহায় থাকেন।

নাম নয়, পারফরমেন্স দিয়ে দলে সুযোগ করে নাও:সঞ্জয় সেন

আই এস এলের ফুটবলাররা যোগ দিচ্ছে না, এই নিয়ে এতদিন মাথাব্যথা ছিল মোহনবাগান কোচ সঞ্জয় সেনের। সেই মাথাব্যথা কমতে না কমতেই নতুন সমস্যায় সঞ্জয়। আই লিগের সঙ্গে পিঠোপিঠি শুরু হচ্ছে সর্বভারতীয় অফিস টুর্নামেন্ট। যাতে রয়েছে শিলটন পাল, প্রীতম কোটাল, কিংশুক দেবনাথ, রাম মালিক, পঙ্কজ মৌলা, দেবজিৎ মজুমদার, তীর্থঙ্কর রায়, প্রবীর দাস, শৌভিক ঘোষ, লালকমল ভৌমিকদের মতো বাগানের জনা দশেক সদস্য। এঁদের মধ্যে বেশির ভাগই প্রথম সারির ফুটবলার। আর অফিস লিগের খেলা মানে ফুটবলারদের ছাড়তে ক্লাব বাধ্য। গত মরশুমে আই লিগের ফাইনাল খেলতে গিয়ে সি ই এস সি–র চাকরি ছাড়তে হয়েছিল প্রীতমকে। এখন তিনি ইনকাম ট্যাক্সের চাকরিতে যোগ দিয়েছেন। তবে আয়কর দপ্তরের কিংশুক, শিলটন, লালকমল, প্রীতমদের অফিস খেলার সূচি অনুযায়ী, ক্লাবের জার্সিতে খেলতে অসুবিধা হওয়ার কথা নয়। কিন্তু বাকিদের? উদ্বিগ্ন রয়েছেন বাগান সারথি। শনিবার সকালে সাংবাদিকদের মুখোমুখি হয়ে চিন্তার সুরে সঞ্জয়ের মন্তব্য, ‘অফিস লিগের খেলাও শুরু হচ্ছে। একটু সমস্যা হল, তা মানতেই হবে। চ্যালেঞ্জ হিসেবে দেখছি, দেখা যাক কীভাবে সামলানো যায়।’ এই চিন্তার মাঝেও নিজের অবস্থানে অনড় আই লিগ চ্যাম্পিয়ন কোচ। তঁার মন্ত্র,নাম নয়, পারফরমেন্স দিয়ে দলে সুযোগ করে নাও। লুসিয়ানো দলের সঙ্গে এখনও যোগ দেননি। তঁার আসতে আসতে আগামী সপ্তাহ হয়ে যাবে। সনিও নেই। ফলে ৯ জানুয়ারি প্রথম ম্যাচে দুই বিদেশিকে নিয়েই শুরু করার ভাবনা বাগান কোচ সঞ্জয় সেনের। ব্রাজিলীয় ডিফেন্ডারের প্রসঙ্গে সঞ্জয়ের সটান জবাব, ‘লুসিয়ানো চলে আসবে আর ওকে খেলাব, সেটা ভাবলে ভুল। আগে ফিটনেস যাচাই করে নেব।’ শনিবার বাগান অনুশীলনের শেষে মানবিকতার স্পর্শ। বর্ষবরণের রাতে পার্ক স্ট্রিটের রেস্তোরাঁ থেকে বেরিয়ে সঞ্জয় সেনের স্ত্রীর মোবাইল খোয়া গিয়েছিল। মঙ্গল কর্মকার ও বিকাশ বিশ্বাস নামে দুই ব্যক্তি শনিবার সকালে সেই হারিয়ে যাওয়া মোবাইল মোহনবাগান কোচের হাতে তুলে দেন। এ দিন অনুশীলন শেষে, একটি ফ্যানস ক্লাবের তরফে নববর্ষের শুভেচ্ছা জানাতে সবুজ–মেরুন কোচ ও ফুটবলারদের হাতে পুষ্পস্তবক এবং গ্রিটিংস কার্ড তুলে দেওয়া হয়।
